Sam's version is so free and easy, you can almost feel a warm summer breeze on your skin as you listen to it.
In my book I tell the story of how my mom used to sing "Summertime" to me as a lullaby and how it was years before I knew she had been singing Sam's version to me all those nights. This song evokes many warm memories and is truly one of my all-time favorites; thanks for featuring it here.
